343 – Point Wolfe

One of my first New Brunswick trips after being away for a year, exploring this beautiful country, had to be to Fundy National Park.  It is one of this province’s crown jewels and one of my favourite in the east.  This shot was taken at Point Wolfe, one of two places in the park that is tradition for me to visit, every time I’m in the area.  Today, I witnessed some tourists learn about the true power of the Bay of Fundy, as they got stuck on a beach as the tide rising.  Slowly their beach disappeared and they were stranded on a cliff, with the tide rising quickly until an emergency rescue team brought in a boat to save them.  Never underestimate the power of the highest tides in the world.
