122 – Winter at the Christ Church Cathedral

This stunning cathedral is located on the banks of the St. John River in New Brunswick’s capital city of Fredericton.  It was declared a national historic site of Canada in 1983.  The cornerstone for this building was places on October 15, 1845, though it has seen some restoration over the years, in particular after being struck by lightning, causing the bells to ‘fall to Earth’ and destroy the choir in 1911.
