63 – Lister Block

This piece of historic Hamilton caught my eye as I was strolling through the downtown area.  Back in 1923 when the Lister Chambers was destroyed by a fire, this building was built on top of it and prospered as a multipurpose retail and office building up until the 1970s, officially closing in 1995.  However in recent years the building has seen some restoration and renewal as a home for city offices.
