44 – On the Rim of the Devil’s Punch Bowl

I snapped this photograph while standing on the edge of the Devil’s Punch Bowl, facing about a 120 foot drop just a few steps away.  On this day, towards the end of summer, a waterfall was spilling into the bowl, but it only existed as a faint trickle.  I’m sure a Spring visit would reveal a more powerful force of water.  Just beyond this landmark, that is millions of year in the making, is a lookout boasting excellent views of the Hamilton, Ontario cityscape.
