41 – The Northern Lights

As soon as I hit the road in August to drive across Canada, I started dreaming of the moment I would get to capture a few images of the Aurora Borealis for the first time.  This Canadian wonder certainly lives up to the hype and when the opportunity presented itself, I leaped at the opportunity to grab my first photographs of the dancing lights.  The scientific reasoning behind this wonder is linked to the collision of gaseous particles in the Earth’s atmosphere with charged particles from the sun’s atmosphere.
