346 – St. Patrick’s Park

GardnerPhotography-239

Home to a Saint John relic, the Three Sisters’ Lamp, this park provides an excellent vantage point in the uptown area from which to view the Saint John Harbour and Bay of Fundy.  Hopefully one day we will see a green public access space created directly across Water Street from this unique space, right next to Harbour Passage.  I believe this was once, or still is part of the plan for waterfront development in the Port City.  This would attract more people to the area and eliminate my one squabble with the view provided at St. Patrick’s Park, the large lamppost at the Port, cutting Partridge Island in half in any pictures taken of the historic island from here.
