339 – Welsord Falls

GardnerPhotography-230

‘Welsford Falls’ are an amazing site, and swimming hole, found tumbling 15 metres over a rock-face, as they travel down through a deeply eroded gorge towards the Nerepis River.  It is truly a beautiful and natural treasure of New Brunswick.

-Directions to the Falls –

While traveling on Route 7, take the exit for Welsford.  At the Irving gas-station, take Route 101 towards Fredericton Junction.  There will be an access road on your left, just after Sullivan Road.  Follow the access road over the hill, passing under a power-line.  You will come to a small bridge with a stream flowing under it, and the trail to the falls can be found on the left side of the road just before this bridge.

Now go see them for yourself! =)
