The Diocese of Saint John makes use of this beautiful Gothic cathedral, located on Water Street, as it’s place of worship. It is the seventh oldest Roman Catholic Diocese in Canada, established in 1842. The building itself is a Provincial Heritage Place, also listed on the Canadian Register of Historic Sites. Currently the Diocese is seeking donations to help restore and maintain this historic and architecturally stunning house of worship for generations to come.
